Palo Alto is bound to grow, and, given our restricted area and the need to protect our parks and open spaces, this growth will result in increased density. We need to manage how and where we grow in order to preserve the quality of life that we currently enjoy. Palo Alto has one of the highest jobs to housing imbalances in the country, higher than Manhattan. I will cast a skeptical eye on projects that will only make this imbalance worse.
